Christmas Inspired Tech

Christmas Breakout

The Merry Merry Breakout was created by Peggy Reimers of TCEA and can give students a brain trial trying to figure out the puzzles and codes to escape and complete the google form. The breakout contains information on Christmas traditions and holiday trivia. You can find all the answers on the breakout site. A couple of the answers will only be revealed if you locate the hidden links on the page. These links will lead to puzzles that will need to be solved. You can always email me for hints or answers cenriquez@esc18.net

Collaborative Class Christmas Tree

Looking for a great class collaboration piece to use for the Christmas holiday?

Have your students create their own ornament by having them add images, text, and color to this Google Drawing template.

Then have them add their personal ornament to this class tree that you can print out, or display digitally.

I've also included a brief instruction template.

Tech You Have To Try

Floop

Feedback is great with google documents and applications by just adding comments. But what about math problems, science equations, or other homework or problems that aren't specifically just writing, but more problem solving, or equations?

Floop was created by teachers who struggled with feedback that just didn't lend itself well to Google all the time. For example, a math problem worked by a student, how do we easily help a student while they work or get stuck on a specific part of the equation or problem-solving process?

With Floop students can take a picture of the problem or steps in their process add specific pop-up questions over the picture at specific places and then the teacher can respond or give feedback at specific locations as well. See an example of how Floop would work here.

Great as an ice breaker, field trip, or item hunting on a campus. Learn more or sign up for Goosechase here.

TextingStory Chat Story Maker

A great way to tell a story in an innovative way. You can create a story by mimicking text messages between individuals. Write text conversations, video them, and present them to make a memorable and fun presentation. A great way to bring a writing assignment to life and spice it up in a fun way students will love.
