Battle of the Books
BRRDSPD's Battle of the Books was held locally this year. The students read four books including: Nine, Ten, Akata Witch, and Waiting for a Sign. The competition was fierce and the students had a great time. Each student was able to create their own shirt to commemorate the event.
Tarrant County Community College's Sign Language Interpreter Training Program hosts Signing Santa each year for the area Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in Arlington. Our students enjoyed crafts, skating, and meeting Santa! Thank you TCC for continuing this great event!
Secondary Christmas Party
This year our secondary students gathered at Film Alley in Weatherford to watch the new movie Wonder with full captions. The students had a great time getting to know each other over pizza and bowling.
