Attendance: New Process Starts Monday
Starting Monday, March 28th all attendance needs to be reported by using links found on the main page of the BECS website. Calling the main office or leaving a voicemail will no longer be available. In order for an absence to be excused the parent/guardian must report it by clicking on either the “Illness- Attendance” button or the “Non-Illness Attendance” button. Should your student get COVID you would utilize the Illness-Attendance button and the 27J Covid Coordinator will be in touch. Please know that the front office is not able to report these absences for you. This assures all parties are notified to correctly update your students' attendance.

Costa Rica trip! Last chance to sign up
Dear Future World Travelers,
Again, thank you all for your interest in letting your son or daughter see the world from a new perspective. This is a reminder that enrollment for our summer 2023 trip to Costa Rica closes on Tuesday night. You can enroll through my tour website at https://www.eftours.com/2473902XY. You can also enroll by calling Traveler Support at 1-800-665-5364. The enrollment fee is $95. Remember, spots are limited and will be based on a first come first serve basis. I encourage you all to enroll sooner rather than later so that your child doesn’t miss this life-changing experience.
I know times are tough right now but when better to start dreaming and planning for the future? This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for students to experience more of the world, connect with another culture, and discover more about themselves in the process. It's also going to be tons of fun! You can review the itinerary and enroll now at https://www.eftours.com/2473902XY.
Best,
T.J. Olmsted
P.S. Check out this video to learn what parents like you thought about their own children's EF tour experiences. Also, here is the presentation from Tuesday night if you were not able to attend the enrollment meeting.
COVID Coordinator
27J is taking over as the COVID student coordinator. With the attendance process change, this allows us to share and streamline covid information. It is important when your student is ill to fill out the BECS website attendance link for any and all illnesses. If you report it as covid the 27J coordinator will reach out to assist you.

5th Grade Reading Challenge and Celebratory Kickball Game
The top 5th grade class with the most overall minutes read will get the opportunity to take part in a fun kickball event against their teachers, Dean, and Principal. The top overall 25 students in 5th grade with the highest reading minutes by March 25th will get lunch provided outside at the park pavilion. Let's encourage and cheer on the 5th-grade readers to clock those minutes and really dive into great books.
8th Grade
Hello 8th Grade parents!
So many plans are in the works for your kids during this exciting time of the year!
We are creating a presentation for continuation and need your Then & Now photos for it. Please send them in by April 30th.
Please submit them to akroekel@bromleyeastcs.org
Middle School Reward Day:
Middle School students will have another chance to participate in a Reward Day on April 22, 2022. This will be a time period at the end of the day where students get to build community, have some fun, and choose an activity of their choice. The only requirement is that they cannot receive an office referral between the time frame of Monday, March 28th - Thursday, April 21st.
Outdoor Ed Trip
Informational Meeting
Sixth-grade students are a month away from our Outdoor Education trip to the YMCA of the Rockies! Amanda Frazier will be hosting a virtual informational meeting on Monday, April 4th at 4:00 pm to review items such as the packing list and student behavioral expectations for the trip. This meeting will be recorded for parents/guardians who are unable to attend the meeting or who already attended the meeting in January and will be emailed to all. This will also be an opportunity for parents/guardians to ask questions before the trip. Looking forward to seeing you there!
Parent Chaperone Meeting
For parents/guardians who will be attending Outdoor Education as a chaperone, there will be a mandatory virtual meeting held on Wednesday, April 20th at 6:00 pm. It is very important that all chaperones for this trip attend as Amanda Frazier will be going over chaperone duties and expectations. This is also an opportunity for chaperones to ask questions or address concerns.
Spirit Week is March 28-31
Student Fees
8th Grade Families,
This is a friendly reminder to please check your student’s Infinite Campus account for any outstanding fees. It is important that all fees are paid in full to ensure a smooth transition to high school. Please note that student accounts may be updated with additional fees after the check-in process of books, equipment, Chromebooks, etc. (Chromebook damages will be sent away for a repair estimate) at the end of the school year.
Fees should be paid online through our webstore by following the link below.
Ms. French is also available to make a payment over the phone and can be reached at 720-685-3297 Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
We appreciate your understanding and your attention to making sure our students leave Bromley with a zero balance! Any questions, please contact Ms. Samantha French, Finance Manager.
