Hello to our Northpoint Families,
Today is Administrative Professionals Day, and I want to give a huge shout out to my administrative assistant, Heidi Rogers and our office para, Jodi Super. These two women are such a wonderful asset to our school community. I thank them for the service they provide to our families, students, and staff. Please joining me is gratitude for all they do to keep Northpoint running smoothly!
MCA testing for 3rd and 4th grade students who have chosen to participate will begin next Tuesday, April 27. We will complete these assessments Tuesday and Wednesday mornings for the next two weeks. Please reach out to your child’s teacher with any specific questions. Students not participating will be engaged in alternative learning experiences.
We continue to fight the good fight in order to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 here at Northpoint. We remain diligent in following Minnesota’s Safe Learning Plan guidance in order to do all we can to support the routines that will minimize transmission opportunities here at school.
With yesterday’s verdict in the trial of Derek Chauvin and the recent death of Daunte Wright, these have been unsettled times in the Twin Cities and across our country. Each student and family is impacted differently. As a school community, we are here to provide support to our students and families. Partnership and community are important as we take care of our children. We invite our families to reach out should you need support or have questions and concerns.
Be safe and well,
Judi Kahoun
Principal
Updates for Extended Flex Learning families
Greetings,
It has been a pleasure to visit our distance learning classrooms the last few weeks. Students have been experiencing virtual fieldtrips and guest speakers through WebEx. The learning experiences have been active and engaging with lessons that encourage students to make connections with what they are learning in school and the world around them.
My biggest joy in visiting our virtual classrooms is in recognizing the strong sense of community students and teachers have created through the online learning model. The climate of care, respect and safety among each group is evident and has grown throughout the year.
Distance learning teachers and I will continue to partner with you to ensure your child feels safe and cared for. Please reach out to me if you have questions or concerns.
As always, I hope you’ll take time to read the entire newsletter for important information and updates this spring.
Take care,
Kimberly Fehringer

Last chance - purchase your "Spamalot" tickets today
This weekend, April 30-May 2, is your last chance to see the live theater event "Spamalot," presented by the talented SLPHS theater cast and crew. Lovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy Monty Python and the Holy Grail, MONTY PYTHON’S SPAMALOT retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. Featuring cows, killer rabbits, and French people. The outrageous, uproarious, and gloriously entertaining story of King Arthur and the Lady of the Lake will delight audiences as they search for the Holy Grail and “always look on the bright side of life.” This is a performance you don't want to miss! Purchase your tickets today.
