Monday Morning Message
Week of October 29, 2018
Mrs. Sinsko!
Team Eagle,
With the recent loss of a close friend and former colleague, I have been thinking a lot recently about the "ripples" that we make in life, how far they reach, and who they touch. Often times, many of us will never know the extent of our ripples. Our ripples as teachers undoubtedly extend far beyond what we might ever imagine. Those ripple include our daily interactions with the students in our own classroom, the smile and hello to that one kiddo who always seems to be taking a lingering drink at the fountain, those many times that you really made a parent feel heard and valued, the immense support that you all provide to one another as colleagues and friends and so, so much more.
Many of you learned on Thursday that HDA means Human Development Activity. That is the business we are in, human development. This work is hard. It has many stresses. We go through highs and lows. We don't always get to see the vast dividends that our efforts yield.
Although it is hard, lets try to keep it all in perspective. Lets take care of one another and lets take care of ourselves because our ripples really are flowing outward in an ever expanding circle.
Have a great week!
Andrew
