It's Concert Week!


Congratulations to everyone for a fantastic practice marathon on Friday night! We are so proud of all who had the courage to perform in front of everyone and we are thankful for a group of students who, at the end of a long day and week of school, were incredibly respectful of each other all evening. The master class teachers were all highly complimentary of not only how well you played, but also how mature and fun you were to work with.

For those who were unable to attend, remember that you must make up for the time by practicing a total of 3 hours and documenting it before this Friday. A parent signature is required and no exceptions will be made for late work as this expectation has been explained well in advance. :)


Monday, October 19 - 7:00pm

J.J. Pearce Auditorium

All Band students should arrive no later than 6:15pm

Symphonic 1 - meet on stage (store cases backstage)

Symphonic 2, Concert, Intermediate - meet in Band Hall (store cases in Band Hall)

Wear new band shirt and jeans/pants - NO SHORTS, PLEASE

The concert begins at 7:00pm and should last about 45 minutes. We have been working on A LOT of music this fall! Our band students are not only working on music for this concert, but on football game/pep rally music, all-region, scales, and all other aspects of playing their instruments! We are so excited to perform for you and hope you enjoy!


We are on a normal sectional schedule this week. The only difference will be that our Monday sectionals will be dismissed at 4:30pm so that we can all have time to prepare for the concert. Students should try to finish their etude pass-offs and their scales this week!


A program like ours cannot exist without the generous financial support of our friends and families. Please turn in your practice marathon pledges and donations by this Friday, October 23. All who meet their goal of $125 will receive $5 off their trip to Medieval Times in December, and the top fundraiser gets to go for free! The top 10 fundraisers will be treated to lunch in the Band Hall with Mr. Hedrick and Mrs. Hames.

Checks should be made payable to PABC, Inc. If a receipt is needed for tax purposes, please let us know! Thank you!


On Tuesday, October 27, we will perform for the 7th Grade A Team game at Eagle-Mustang Stadium! Watch your email this week for that itinerary. The "taco sheet" will make the rounds starting on Tuesday and money will be due by Friday.


Don't forget to start getting your costume ready for our annual Halloween party! Our parents and officers are planning an awesome party for you so make plans to be there!
