Illness

Now that school has resumed and children are mixing again, it is important to protect ourselves from spreading illness. A number of seasonal bugs tend to affect our classes at this time of year and we would like to reduce the impact of these as much as possible. If your child becomes ill with a sickness bug, they should stay at home for 48 hours after the last time they vomited in order to reduce transmission to others. If your child becomes unwell with Coronavirus symptoms it is, of course, important that they have a PCR test and remain at home until the outcome is confirmed.

Parent Volunteers

We hope to be able to welcome volunteers into school after half term. However, any previous DBS check will have now expired and will need to be renewed. If you intend to volunteer to help in school on a regular basis in future, please contact the office so that we can begin the process in applying for a new DBS.

Parking

We continue to receive complaints about inappropriate parking around school. Please remember to leave your vehicle safely and sensitively when parking in the vicinity.

Open Evening 13.10.21

We are holding an open evening for families who are considering coming to our school next September on Wednesday 13th October, 4.30pm - 6pm. This will be a chance to see our school, meet staff, and play in our classrooms. We will have free pizza too! Please circulate this to families that might be interested – details are on our Facebook page.

Young Minds #HelloYellow

Friday 8th October we will be supporting Young Minds #HelloYellow Day to raise funds for World Mental Health Day. This will be a non-uniform day and children are invited to wear something yellow! This could be anything from a yellow t-shirt, a pair of yellow socks or a yellow hair clip. The suggested voluntary donation will be £1 via a Just Giving page, a link to this will be sent out shortly. Thank you for your support.

Christmas Cards

The children will be designing their own Christmas card over the next couple of weeks, these designs will be sent home for you to keep. You will have the opportunity to order cards, wrapping paper, mugs, gift stickers, sketch pads and note books. More details will follow shortly.

- Grey or red sweatshirt or cardigan

- Grey, red or white polo shirt

- Black or brown shoes (trainers are not acceptable).

- The correct PE kit is - a plain red t-shirt (no logos or pictures other than the school logo) and black shorts. Suitable footwear is required for outdoor games (the children have bare feet for indoor PE). Warm outer wear in the school colours (hoodie, sweatshirt etc) should be worn for outdoor PE.
