Weekly Newsletter
Dear Parents
Another wonderful week flew by! We are beginning to see our children becoming more and more comfortable in our environment and with their friends.
This week we focused on the question “Who works in our school?”. It was the perfect time to introduce some of the people who are part of our School Family. On Wednesday, our mighty Dolphin Iris came to our class to share her work experience, and on Thursday our Nurse Opal showed us the equipment she uses when taking care of the students.
One of the most exciting activities this week was the Gingerbread Man Hunt. The student got the opportunity to travel around school and meet the different people that work here at ISP. We ended up in the cafeteria, where we made gingerbread cookies. Let’s hope they don’t run away!
We encourage you to look through this newsletter and start a conversation about their experience.
Have a great weekend!

Yoga, Dance and Movement
We are still getting a hang of our yoga routine. This week we got to practice the “Warrior I” in a game of freeze and “Malasana” or “Yogui’s Squat”. We continued to challenge our balance in “Tree Pose” and had a relaxing rest in “Savasana.”
The Trolls movie song “I can’t stop the feeling” proved to be a success in making our bodies move. Thanks for those suggestions! We also played a game of jump the river and managed to jump over it without getting our feet wet!
We continued working with color pencils our artist notebooks and talked about how some artists had “signatures” or “staples” that we could usually find in their art in order to distinguish it, like Jean Michelle Basquiat’s crowns. By the end of the week we had our first informal art show! Just like artists do when we were done working on our project we curated and published our work and we had a celebration to go along with it.
