Deborah Sampson was born on 12/17/1760, in Plympton, MA. She married Benjamin Gannet on 4/7/1785, on a farm in Sharon, MA. They had 4 children. They had Earl, Mary, Patience, and Susanna, an adopted orphan. She died at the age of 66 on 4/ 29/1827.

Deborah Sampson was an American hero. She disguised herself as a man in the war. She disguised herself as a man because at her time, women were not allowed to fight in the war. She fought in the Continental army, in the revolutionary war.
