School will be closed for Thanksgiving Break November 21st - 25th. Classes will resume Monday, November 28, 2022.
Greetings Acton Parents & Families!
Thank you for continuing to partner with us to help students be present and ready for instruction and leadership each day.
This past week we held administration praise walks to recognize 2+ students in each class that have shown outstanding behavior, academics, or leadership over the past few weeks. We also celebrated spirit winners and ended the week enjoying our PTA's fall festival.
This week our 3rd & 4th grade students will have an opportunity to show what they know on STAAR Interim assessments. This is very preliminary and we know we will have much work yet to do. However, it will give us a snapshot of where we are now. Due to testing this week, we will limit visits to classrooms and the cafeteria other than those scheduled parent conferences that are taking place.
As a reminder, every day all classes are working to earn a pajama day by having 100% attendance. We plan to finish this week strong by maintaining our work ethic toward high achievement on assessments and completion of special projects. We want to meet and exceed our personal goals each day! WE CAN DO IT!
We sent special emphasis communication about picking up fundraiser orders this week.
The campus will not be open to lunch with students this week as we have 3rd & 4th grade Interim STAAR Testing & preparation for Thanksgiving Break.
Please see all other updates below. I hope you have had a great weekend with your families.
Let's make it a great week!
