Canada 2040 Assessment
Canada in 2040
I think Canada in the year 2040 will have a lot more people its population it will probably reach 50 million. Also the amount of immigration in 2040 will play a big part in the major increase in the population. In 2040 I will be 39 and I will probably have kids and so will everybody born in 2000-2020. Which will make Canada overpopulated.
Demographic 2014
The birth rate in 2013-2014 is 10.29 births/1,000 population (2014 est.).This is the average number of births in 1 year per 1000 persons. The death rate in 2013-2014 is 8.31 deaths/1,000 population (2014 est.). This is the average number of deaths in 1 year per 1000 persons. This year Canada has welcomed between 240,000-265,000 new permanent residents. The 2014 immigration levels plan are Economic: 164,500 or 63.0%, Family:68,000 or 26.1% and Humanitarian:28,400 or 10.9%. The Aboriginal population in Canada is 1,400,685 or 4.3% of the population of Canada. Baby boomers are people born during the demographic Post–World War II baby boom between the years 1946 and 1964. In 2014 there are 107 million baby boomers in Canada.

Demographic 2040
What I think the birth rate is going to be in 2040 is 16.00/1000 population because with the amount of immigration that is going to be in Canada there is going to be more babies. I think the death rate rise to 9.61/1000 population because there is probably going to be a lot of pollution and people are going to get more sicknesses in the future. I think he immigration rate will go up 20%. I say this because I feel like there is going to be more refugees in Canada because of future wars that are going to happen. Finally I think the Aboriginal population in Canada is going to increase. I think the natural increase of Canada is going to grow to be 3.1 million.
Immigration 2040
The immigration in Canada is going to increase because more people are going to want to come to look for work in Canada. Also there is going to be a larger refuge rate because of future wars. The pull factor of Canada is: Canada has lots of economic opportunities, a high standard of living, really good health care system and there is somewhat a low crime rate. The push factors are: The weather can get extremely cold during the winter and the taxes in Canada are very high. The continent that has the most immigrates that come to Canada is Asia. Most immigrants like to immigrate to Ottawa,Ontario the total amount of immigrates in Ottawa is 20.4%. In 1967 the immigration point system was created. The system consists of certain things like if you know how to speak English or French, if you are to young or old to get a regular job, if you have arranged employment in Canada, if you have family members in Canada and if you have proper education and training. I think the point system is going to get more strict in 2040 because if the let anybody in it is going to make Canada overpopulated and a easy solution to that is to make to test harder so fewer people pass.
First nations 2040
I think the aboriginal population is going to reach over 4 million. I say this because in 1974 the overall population was 389,000, in 1984 the population was 501,000, in 1994 the population was 1,100,000, in 2004 the population was 1,500,000 and in 2011 the population was 1,836,000. In the the graph below it supports my theory that the aboriginal population is going to reach over 4 million.
