CCA Student Council is back! We are hosting Trivia Night for all the middle schoolers and we need your help to run this event! Trivia Night will be held in the Gym from 3:30-5:30pm on Friday, December 9, 2022. We are in need of chaperones and snacks. We are looking for parent volunteers to help us with the Holiday Shop! A great fundraiser that allows kids to purchase fun gifts for their family and friends for the holidays! We have a lot of great opportunities to get volunteer hours by helping us set up for this event and be at various shifts to run the register or help the kids with shopping! The SAC Committee will be putting out their annual survey in January and will need the help of 10 volunteers on January 13, 2023 to help with the Flyer Frenzy. They will need individuals to help pass out flyers reminding families to complete the survey by the deadline during carline pickup. If you are interested in helping and earning 1 volunteer hour - sign up here. The time is from 2:45-3:45 pm on Friday, January 13, 2023. Thank you in advance for your help!

• Spelling Bee practices will be on Tuesday and Friday mornings, from 7:15 - 7:45. All 5th - 8th graders who would like to participate in the spelling bee should join Mr. Geltman in the modular classroom. We will start practices on Tuesday, November 15th and end on Friday, December 2, 2022. Students who participate in the spelling bee practices will then be given a written test. The top ten will participate in the school spelling bee. This will be held only with the spelling bee contestants on Monday, December 5, 2022 at 8:15 am. The top four CCA winners will participate in the CCSD spelling bee, and the fifth place winner will be the alternate.

• The CCSD Spelling Bee will be Friday, January 27, 2023. Qualifying students will also attend the CCSD Oral Spelling Bee on Saturday, January 28, 2023. Please contact Mr. Geltman at sgeltman@cherrycreekacademy.org with any questions.

Parents, each year we put together a slideshow video of our 8th graders and show it at graduation. We are asking that you please fill out this form in order to submit a baby/young child photo of your 8th grader and a current photo of them to be shared at graduation. If you have any questions, please contact Rachel Brooks at rbrooks@cherrycreekacademy.org.

The Winter Music Festival will be in person this year on Thursday, December 15, 2022, from 6-7:30 pm. It will be a full night of music that your children have been working very hard towards! We hope that you are able to join us for this special performance.

How do I earn Box Tops with my digital receipt?

Great news! If you shop for groceries online or have a digital version of a receipt, you

can submit them to earn Box Tops for your school. Here’s how:

1. Make sure you’re on a compatible OS and you have the latest version of the Box

Tops app downloaded to your device.

2. Open the Box Tops app.

3. Tap the + button labeled ‘Scan’ at the bottom of the home screen and select

‘Digital Receipt’ from the list when prompted.

4. Choose the retailer you recently purchased from and follow the directions

provided. Each retailer is unique, so please be sure to read the directions

carefully in order to receive eligible earnings for your school in a timely manner.

5. That’s it! You will receive a confirmation email following your digital receipt

submission. If you were directed to take screenshots of your purchase, please

note that it may take up to 5 business days for your digital receipt to be

processed.

Don’t forget to Give Credit to your grade or classroom!

Any eligible earnings found on your digital receipt will be posted in the ‘My Earnings’

section of the Box Tops app. When your earnings are posted, you'll be able to Give

Credit to your grade or classroom of choice and your earnings will be counted on the

active leaderboard at your school.

I signed up for Box Tops with my social account and am having

trouble forwarding digital receipts.

When forwarding a digital receipt to receipts@boxtops4education.com, please be sure to use

the email address associated with your Box Tops account so that we know who should get

credit for your earnings!

Be sure to activate your AmazonSmile Account so that when you shop you help earn money for our PTO! It's easy - just follow the steps above.
