Beck Bulletin "Excellence For All"
May 11, 2018
Principal's Message
Dear Beck Families,
It has been another extraordinary year at Beck. We have enjoyed celebrating the achievements of all our learners and will continue to do so during the next several weeks. In addition we have many activities that our students will enjoy such as Field day, Beck University, and graduations!
This time of year can bring its own challenges so we ask for your help. Please remind your child that it is equally important to finish the year strong, as it was to start strong. We have 3 weeks of exceptional learning planned, and want to take advantage of each minute we have with your child(ren). Remind them to always put forth their best effort. We encourage them to continue to have a growth mindset and persevere through any challenges that lie ahead. In addition, behavior can sometimes present a greater challenge at this time of year. Review with them our True Blue code and the importance of being respectful and kind towards one another. We don't want to lose focus on these core beliefs as we come to an end to the school year.
I look forward to seeing you on campus over the next couple of weeks!
S. Conklin, Ed.D.
Principal

2018-2019 Class Assignments
All teachers at Beck Elementary are extraordinary in meeting the needs of diverse learners. They understand the importance of developing nurturing relationships with students and care deeply about their success. I am confident that all of our teachers are well-prepared to support all students that are assigned to their homeroom.
Understandably, student placement can cause some anxiety for parents. I can assure you that careful consideration is given to each child as we place them in a homeroom. There are several factors that are considered as we create a dynamic learning environment for each classroom. We understand that parent input is important. Therefore, we have created a form where you can share additional information about your child(ren). To be clear, we do not accept specific teacher request, so please refrain from mentioning a specific teacher if you choose to complete the form. In addition, only the completed google form provided will be used for consideration of class assignments. Please do not send notes, emails, or use any other method to share your thoughts or concerns as it becomes too much to manage. Please click here to access the form.
