How long you have been at Woodbury: First year
1. What is your "go to" song for the journey to school?
“Roar” by Katy Perry. Whatever kind of day you are having, that song just makes you feel empowered and like you can take on anything. It is a great song to start the day with. Just do not set it as an alarm clock sound because then you will hate it.
2. Do you have a favorite saying or quote that you try to live by?
“Just Keep Swimming” Finding Nemo is one of my favorite movies and I love this quote. It reminds you that no matter what rough patches you face, you have to keep moving, because it won’t last forever. Also, whenever I think of this quote, I picture Dory singing and speaking to the whales. That always makes me smile.
3. What is one of your hidden talents?
Is being able to watch Netflix or You Tube videos for 10 hours straight a talent? I am very good at both those things. Otherwise, I am the best Mario Kart player in the world.
4. What are your "trapped on a desert island" books or movies?
Not a movie, but I would need the 10 seasons of "Friends." By far, my favorite show to watch.
5. If you could take your students on a field trip to anywhere in the world, where would you take them?
Personally, I would love to go to Australia. I have never been but I think it would be a great opportunity for a field trip! There is so much unique wildlife there and cool places that many do not get the chance to see in person. How many people can say they have been to a pink lake? Or seen a tunnel that lights up in the dark? I think it would be such a cool place for a field trip!
6. What is one piece of advice you would give to your students?
Appreciate the little moments in life. The times you spend with your family. Hanging out with friends. There will be times that are super fun, like vacations or breaks from school, but most of life is made up of little moments of joy. Don’t wish them away!
