Raising Readers at Ridge Road

Look for a weekly text from Parent Square with a tip on how to support early learning at home!

Ridge Road Primary School will send home a monthly newsletter in Tuesday Folders at the beginning of each month for all grades. This newsletter is full of ideas to encourage reading and early learning at home, even some fun activities to try with your kids. Hope you enjoy!

WACO Reads is a community team of members from civic organizations and agencies that formed to promote literacy, especially early learning, for its citizens in Washington County. These team members plan to partner with community events as an outreach for our county.

WACO Reads, the Washington County Community Literacy Team, has placed a bucket of books in several locations in Washington County for children to enjoy while they wait on their parents at businesses and agencies. Be on the lookout for them!

Thirty community readers read to classrooms at Ridge Road Primary School in honor of National Read-A-Book Day. The students loved having them read and the readers loved seeing the students.
