Role or Function
Vitamin K works along with an enzyme that catalyzes the carboxylation of the amino acid called glutamic acid. Or in other words it helps breaks down parts of glutamic acid.
What would happen if you didn't have enough Vitamin K?
What would happen would not be so fun. You would have impaired blood clotting which would result in easy bruising and bleeding, lots of bloody noses, and bloody gums.
