Your NEW School T-Shirt

One thing all Drake students have in common - everyone will be at a different school next year. Many will attend Whitney. This is a reminder that in the 2016-17 school year, Whitney's theme is: "BE A READING SUPERSTAR!" Staff members are already developing Hollywood Red-Carpet decorations and ideas for movie-star related activities. An important unifying part of the school wide theme is the T-Shirt that will be worn by all staff and students. If your student(s) will attend Whitney next year, please make sure they have their purple T-Shirt order form in! I do not know if students attending other elementary schools are ordering reading theme T-Shirts. If you are not sure, I invite you to contact your future school to find out.

Teacher - Classroom Requests

Many hours of planning and sorting go into placing students into specific classrooms. Our students' behavior, ability, maturity, and gender need to be thoughtfully blended to achieve classroom balance. In addition there are specific confidential academic and personal factors that must be considered. Therefore, we ask that you do not make specific teacher requests as the staff will work hard to develop plans for classroom success. Thanks so much for your understanding in this matter.
