Children's House News
Northland Pines Montessori Learning Center
Week of January 11-15, 2016
We are continuing to learn about Antarctica. We studied the people and animals.
We focused on the sound of the letter Cc. Cracking coconuts was a great experience, thanks to Sophie G. and her Grandma for the coconut.
We read and worked with The Mitten written by Jan Brett.
4K friends are doing great with their work plans.
We used crisco to help understand the concept of blubber and how it keeps animals warm in Antarctica.
Which hand will get colder? The one without blubber.
Addy and Noah testing out their "blubber".
We needed a hammer to get the job done.
Tasting coconut milk. Did you know it isn't white?
Concentration will get the job done.
