Shout - Out from Schupmann

for the week of February 26, 2018

Welcome to March

Wow, where has the year gone! We just finished our 4th six weeks - only 2 more to go! Please remember your student's attendance at school is very important everyday. We will be starting some new attendance incentives that your child will want to be apart of! Although we want them at school everyday, remember if your child has fever, vomiting, or diarrhea that they must be free from these symptoms (without the help of medication) for 24 hours before you send them back to school. If they are out, please be sure to call or send a note or email to let us know!

Attendance Incentives

In order to help with our attendance, we are going to begin this new six weeks offering some great incentives for students with perfect attendance!

  • Each week, students with perfect attendance for the week prior will receive a certificate for a free meal from a local restaurant.
  • From those names we will draw one boy and one girl from each grade level to receive a prize from our new attendance prize closet!
  • Each class that has perfect attendance for the six weeks will receive an incentive party (popcorn or dance party).
  • Then the class with the most perfect attendance days each six weeks in each grade level will receive an ice cream or pizza party!

GAMES: Goals and Motivation Equal Success #the game isn't over unless you quit!"

REACH Rubric -Hallways for Students

As you can remember from the beginning of the year we are using one of the 4 Talons of the ROISD Graduate Profile as the foundation for our School-Wide Behavior Expectations. That Talon reads: Demonstrates Fair, Respectful and Well-Rounded Characteristics. It's best symbolized by Respect.. Encourage.. Appreciate.. Communicate.. Honor (REACH). Each week we will share what that looks like at Schupmann. This week we will focus on what it looks like in the hallway:
Respect: Hands together

Encourage: Keep the line straight

Appreciate: Low speed for everyone’s safety

Communicate: Level 0

Honor: Eyes forward, don’t touch others
