Message from Ms. Frias
Welcome back and hello December. I hope everyone had a safe and healthy Thanksgiving week. We are ready to continue helping your children grow in their learning. If your children are participating in the learning hub, they resume on Monday. Let's make these last 3 weeks before Christmas Break not only a magical time, but also a learning success for our students. We can do this!!
We Are Aztec Strong!

Collecting Past Due Library Books from 19-20--- Please help!
The library will be contacting you to return library books you have had since last school year. We will be collecting them on Friday, Dec. 4. The library is also running a promotion. If your child returns their library books, they will be entered into a drawing for a prize to be given away the week of Dec. 14. The prize: a basket of books! Thank you for returning books.

3. Please make sure your children have eaten breakfast and are ready to learn.
4. If technology glitches occur, please make sure to continue to attempt to log in.
If your child will be absent due to illness or doctor's appointment,
1. Please be sure to call the attendance office at 434- 3410 to report the absence.
2. Complete any work missed for the day.
3. Teachers record the lessons so that you may review the missed lessons.
Message from Mrs. Espindola, Counselor
I hope and pray that every single one of you are safe and humble during these difficult times we are all experiencing. If you are having difficulty with water or electric utilities these resources may help you. I also have attached information on food banks for El Paso.

https://www.epwater.org/customer_service/covid-19_assistance_program

The Ysleta Independent School District is delaying in-person Face-to-Face Learning at campuses. In accordance with the Region 19 Prevention and Mitigation plan, our area remains in the Red Zone, which means hospitalization rates are at 20% or higher.
Once the El Paso area begins experiencing lower COVID-19 hospitalization levels over a course of 7-14 days, the district’s status may be downgraded.
Schools will open the Monday after we fall below the Red Zone.
As a reminder, employees, parents, and community members can monitor the daily COVID-19 hospitalization rate on our website. The page can be accessed by visiting www.yisd.net and scrolling down to the YISD Spotlight section, then clicking on the “COVID-19 Activity Level” icon. The metrics Ysleta ISD and Region 19 are using are listed under the “Activity Level Indicators” chart.
