This week at École OLPH
October 24 to October 28
Prayer of the week
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. 2 Corinthians 1:3–5, NIV
Lord our God, Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who encourages and strengthens us in all distress, we thank you for turning our suffering into a pathway to life, so that we may be thankful and trusting through everything. You can change what we find hardest into what is best for us. Praise to your name that a way through sin and death is given to us. Praise to your name that you have shown us a way through all evil, a way that is blest. Amen.
We Scare Hunger
Over 800 000 Canadians turn to food banks every month. The OLPH Student Council hs chosen to contribute to the 'We Sacre Hunger' initiative created by Free the Children in help with this high demand. We will be accepting non-perishable food donations in the front foyer of the school until Monday October 31st. All donations will be given to help our local community.
We thank you in advance for your kind support. Please contact Mme Dufour or Mme McCoy with any questions you may have.
Sincerely,
The OLPH Student Council

We Day
We Day is a huge youth rally that is held in seven Canadian cities each year. Students and staff from 530 schools in Alberta and Saskatchewan will be attending. In order to participate, schools must apply to the program and commit to initiating one local action and one global action during the school year. These would be service projects and fundraisers to help others in need.
Through our action project initiatives (money raised by students for local, national and international causes), we have obtained free tickets for our participating students and teachers. Mme Tremblay and M. Morin will be attending We Day with our students. OLPH has 18 tickets available for students to attend the event.
