RHPS Families,
We really want to maintain our end of year traditions while staying safe and maintaining social distance. Field day is one of those traditions that is always such a fun time for our students. I would like to thank Coach Williams for finding a way for us to keep field day on our calendar!
RHPS is participating in National Field Day on May 8th. If you haven't registered yet, the information is included below. We hope your family will join the FUN!
We continue to focus on the health and wellness of our students, staff and community. If you are in need of support beyond your child's learning activities, please reach out to us.
We sure miss seeing all of you!!!

April is designated as Month of the Military Child; a time to honor the sacrifices made by military families worldwide, with an emphasis on the experience of the dependent children of military members serving at home and overseas.
We hope you enjoy this video that includes many of our military families.
Meals on Wheels UPDATES
Message from BCS sent to all parents on 4/14/2020 - Bryan County Schools Meals on the Bus & Curbside Pick-Up Will Adjust Delivery Process Thursday As Advised By The CDC
In an effort to combat the spread of Covid-19, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), recommends minimizing interactions among people. In following the CDC’s guidance, Bryan County Schools will be altering its meal service beginning Thursday, April 16th. The change will include offering 7 days of breakfasts and lunches at one time on each Thursday through the remainder of the school year. It is the District’s hope that limiting exposure and social distancing, along with existing safety precautions already in place, will further efforts in keeping our students, parents and employees safe and healthy.
For south Bryan, the pick-up at RHHS will remain from 11:00 AM through 1:00 PM, along with the three designated bus stops in Richmond Hill on Thursday’s of each week.
For north Bryan, the pick-up at BCES will be from 11:00 AM through 1:00 PM and the bus routes will run as normal on Thursday’s of each week. Please allow for a 15-minute window due to the additional food that will be delivered.
Please note, regular meal service will be in place tomorrow, April 15th.
The Meals on the Bus and curbside pick-up program has been a tremendous success so far and our dedicated workers who prepare and deliver meals has served almost 56,000 meals to students in the first two weeks of our program. We want to give a huge shout-out to those involved in the Meals on the Bus for their dedication and commitment to the students of Bryan County Schools!

RHPS PTSO is AWESOME!
Military Family Resource
Due to the COVID-19 worldwide pandemic, MFLC and Child and Youth Behavioral MFLCs (CYB-MFLCs) will be able to temporarily provide telehealth services to you and your children. These services include video and telephonic (VTC) non-medical counseling in areas where face-to-face support is restricted due to COVID-19. We are pleased to announce this temporary capability to provide continuity of care for the families in the RHPS school community.
The model of MFLC and CYB-MFLC VTC is below.
Support for Adults (Parents and Staff):
- Telephonic and video non-medical counseling
- Consultations, briefings and educational presentations
Support for Children and Youth:
- Individual video non-medical counseling sessions for minors age 13 to 17 (parent or guardian must be available at the start of each video session to give parental consent and provide line of sight requirements during the session)
- Family video non-medical counseling for minors 6 to 12 years of age (parent or guardian must be available at the start of each video session to give parental consent and must be in line of sight for each session)
- Children/youth groups; e.g., online lunch bunch, group activities and virtual classroom support
Ellen Steding is now available to provide video and telephonic non-medical counseling support. They can be reached at 912.312.1507 to establish a telephonic or video non-medical counseling appointment.
The counseling sessions will be conducted by the Magellan MFLC Zoom video conferencing application. The Zoom application meets all federal privacy regulations, and each counselor has a Magellan provided smartphone which is only used for business purposes. The option to record the session has been disabled from Zoom and Magellan’s MFLC communication policies prohibits recording of telephonic non-medical counseling services.
The counselor will be in a private location during the call, and the counselor will ask that you and your child(ren) are also in a private location before the session begins.
Scheduling a counseling session is simple and all you need to do is contact the MFLC at their MFLC phone number: Ellen Steding at 912.312.1507
We hope that you will find helpful the MFLC support during these difficult times.
