Overview
The future looks bright for careers in athletic training with employment projected to grow 24 percent by 2016. Athletic training students at Wingate University gain a quality educational experience through enriching clinical work at hospitals and clinics, high schools and professional sports teams. By interacting with patients and clinicians early on, you can apply the information and skills learned in class in a 'real-world' setting. While at Wingate University, enjoy the opportunity to work with eight Certified Athletic Trainers (ATC's) and 15 NCAA Division II varsity teams on campus, including football, volleyball, soccer, lacrosse, golf, basketball, baseball, softball, cross country, tennis and swimming. We also have close ties to several facilities in the community where students can observe other allied health professionals and obtain valuable experience.
