Made available by the State of CT, iConn.org is "CT's Re-Search Engine" and contains a wide variety of resources for students K-12 and beyond. This link guides students directly to databases appropriate for high school research.

Available free online, WolframAlpha is a great resource to consult when looking for statistics and/or data on a particular location or topic. It is also just an interesting tool to explore!

The OED online is "the definitive record of the English language." This resource is more than a dictionary--it contains over 600,000 words and gives the history and origins of each.

Grolier Online is a great resource for getting background information on a variety of topics. Containing encyclopedia articles from three different levels, this is a resource appropriate for all users.

Visit the CIA World Factbook for information on countries throughout the world including history, culture, government, economy, and military issues. A fantastic free online resource, this is a reputable resource when looking for information about a particular nation.
