Cougar Connect

Principal Message December 5th, 2022
Dear Kennedy Families,
I cannot believe how fast this school year has gone by. We only have two weeks until winter break! Students began their second round of i-Ready assessment last week. Families, please remind students to charge their devices and remind them to do the best that they can.
We should experience some rain this week, so please remind students to prepare for it. Remember: the gates open at 8:00 a.m. every morning. If it’s raining, please try to make sure you drop your students off as close to 8:00 as possible. We do not want them waiting in the rain.
Below is the Cougar Connect for the week of (December 5th - December 9th)
Attendance
Attendance is very important, no matter what time of year, as every instructional minute counts. If students are sick, please keep them home. However, when possible, please schedule vacations and appointments when school is not in session. Parents and guardians should be notifying our office staff when students are absent. Truancy and attendance letters will be sent home to students who have excessive absences. Doctor’s notes are required for three or more consecutive absences.
Winter Concert Preview
Intermediate and Advanced Orchestra will be performing at the Hillsdale Shopping Center at 6:30 pm this Friday December 9th. Show your Cougar support and come by.
