Teacher Appreciation Week
Next week is National Teacher Appreciation Week. Think of a way to say thank you to those that are making an impact on your child. Here are some ideas:
-Send a thank you card to a special teacher in your life or a teacher of a child in your life.
-Show your support for the tremendous work teachers do by volunteering in a classroom.
-Tell a story on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram about a teacher who had an impact on your life and how you plan to celebrate teachers during the week.
-Let's make it a great week!

Webster students participated in solo and ensemble festival on February 27th at Thomas Jefferson Middle School in Port Washington. This year we had 13 class A events, 31 class B events, and 170 class C events for a grant total of 214 events. Across each of these events, 145 received a gold rating, 37 received a silver rating, 6 received a bronze rating and 26 events went as critique only. Of our class A events, 4 students received a rating of 1-star and are attending state solo and ensemble festival: Caitlyn M. (7) for her vocal solo, David L. (8) and Lucy T. (8) for their violin solos, and Vincent C. (7) for his jazz piano solo. Overall, Webster had 82 choral students and 129 band students participate.
