World Languages for Careers
Workshop Description
With the Seal of Biliteracy initiative and extended sequences of study, school districts may be in need of upper level language courses to satisfy the growing need. Oakland Schools has developed three courses, French, German, and Spanish for Careers, that can help meet this need.
In this half-day workshop, the course developers will present the rationale for these courses, provide a detailed description of said courses and assist participants with making plans for how to use them in their own district.
World language teachers, department heads and administrators should attend this workshop. Districts are encouraged to send teams. Individuals/Teams may register for either a MORNING or AFTERNOON Session. Space is limited so register early!
Please bring a device. Some laptops will be available at the workshop.
