Mr. B's Bright Lights
Kicking off the Fourth Quarter in Style
Ribbon Cutting Opens for more Books
Our reading committee of the Primary School cut the ribbon to official open the area for teachers to access more books for our young and voracious readers. The volume of reading has greatly increased over the past two years as our children grow on reading skills beginning in 4K. The Readers' Workshop format has also provided the means for children to increase their number of selections wihtin the genres being studied. Thanks Committee!
Look at those kids climb and skate!
Below are photos of our fourth graders highly engaged in strength and balance activities in physical education classes. Thanks to our phy ed teachers, Mrs. Monson and Ms. Luberda, the students really get going during their 45 minute classes. The skaters were really moving so the photographer had a hard time keeping up with them. Way to go!
Look at me climb!
The cargo net makes me use all my muscles!
Here we go! Hi Mr. B!
It's That Time of Year! What are the chances?
Annually, Mr. Frei's accelerated math students design and build games of chance in their study of probability. They record the results of the children who play their games and then draw conclusions about how fair the game was based on the data. Each year the kids raise the level of games and creativity. Thanks for all of the hard work!
Lots of different games
Just give it a spin!
"This is how the game works."
Principal for a Day
The photo below is of a student whose family bid on the Principal for a Day item at a recent fundraiser. The three children of the family spent 2 hours with Mr. B learning about his job at school. We all had fun. Here is a picture showing "Ms. Principal" visiting a former teacher. Thanks to the family for their support.
Report Cards
Be sure to give those report cards a look and you can find them in your Skyward information. I am proud of the work of our students and staff. I like how we work through the struggles we face and are humble in our victories. Pleas enjoy the weekend. Mike
