Hour of Code by LaVeda Green, Technology & Learning Coach

Hour of code is a national campaign to to get students interested in coding. Code.org houses many coding activities for students and teachers. The activities range in difficulty for novice beginners to more advance coding activities and training opportunities for educators. Blythewood Academy participated during Computer Science Week (12/9/15) by gathering briefly after breakfast in the auditorium. During this gathering, students and teachers were introduced to the Hour of Code by viewing promotional videos from our President and Code.org Kick-Off video about the initiative. Students then participated in coding activities in their 3rd block classes. Thanks goes to all the teachers for participating!
