introduction
Tone and Word Choice
In Ode to Enchanted Light the poets attitude is positive in the beginning but turns negative toward the end. The words in the poem are more positive in the beginning but negative toward the end. The phrase in lines 13-15 is an example of a negative phrase. In Sleeping in the Forest the poets attitude is mostly all non positive. There are a lot of positive and mostly negative words.
Figurative Language
In Ode to Enchanted Light there are a lot of similes, metaphors, alliteration, and theme. In lines 3-5 there is alliteration. On lines 13-15 there is a metaphor. On lines 8-9 there is a simile. Also, in Sleeping in the forest there are a lot of similes and not as many metaphors. Including, in lines 5-7 there is a metaphor, and in lines 9-10 there is a simile.
Form and Structure
In Ode to Enchanted Light there were uneven lines. There were no rythem , and there were uneven stanzas. All of the stanzas were the same except for the first stanza. In Sleeping in the Forest the text shape made some sort of tree shape. The poem had uneven lines. There was only one stanza in the poem. The lines are centered in the middle.
conclusion
Overall i think that both of the poems have more of a negative feeling toward them as if its negative and positive at the same time. Also both of the poems have a lot of similes and metaphors and alliteration ,but Ode to Enchanted Light has more of a variation but Sleeping in the Forest has only similes and metaphors.
