Student Highlights
Congratulations Ethan Lafond & Siobhan Loughney
Ethan Lafond and Siobhan Loughney were named 2016 Neumann Scholars and awarded a four-year scholarship to the Diocesan high school of their choice today. Ms. Oonie Lynch, Mrs. Corr (from the Connelly Foundation) and Mrs. Perry, personally announced the award at an assembly for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students and teachers.
Approximately 900 students took this year’s Neumann Scholar test and StJP had 2 students place among the top of their graduating class and were awarded the scholarship.
To date since 2006, Immaculate Conception and St. Luke's have had 7 Neumann Scholars. We have had a Neumann Scholar 3 of the last 4 years during our time as StJP. Here is a list of our Neumann Scholars: 2006 Todd Stieritz; 2008 Scott Stieritz and Michael Newns; 2013 Michael Johnston; 2014 Emma Foley;2016 Ethan Lafond and Sioban Loughney. We have so many things to be proud of and grateful for here at StJP. Our community of parishes, parents, students, teachers, and staff are what makes all of this possible here!

Girls on the Run Information
To the parents of 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade girls:
Registration is open until December 11 for Girls on The Run at STJP.
Girls on The Run is a national program that has served over 1 million girls. The program at STJP will be headed by Mrs. Marie Ireland with coaching assistance from Mrs. Mary Santarelli, Mrs. Heidi Hector, Mrs. Katie Koch, and Mrs. Erin Burkholder.
No running experience needed! At Girls on The Run girls are inspired to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based program that creatively integrates running.
This is a 12 week program that will meet after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning in late February. Our culminating activity will be a 5K event in May with many other local GOTR groups.
Fee is $165 and includes a GOTR water bottle, a program and race t-shirt, entry into the season-end 5K, and an end of season celebration. Scholarship funds are available for families needing financial assistance.
Any questions? Contact Mrs. Marie Ireland: mireland@stjpschool.org
