Hospitality & Tourism Students Prepare for Beef, Pork & Peanut Competition

Students were excited to return to the lab this semester as they geared up for the upcoming Beef, Pork and Peanut competition. They will present their hand made recipes to judges on February 18.

Hurricane Oysters

Junior and Senior Fisheries Management Career Pathway students have been hard at work growing oysters for research, restoration, and aquaculture. They recently worked to reduce stocking density in their baskets. A few weeks ago, baskets that were 1/4 full quickly turned to 3/4 full, so they split them into additional baskets for more room to grow.

Turning Trash into Something Useful

Coastal Environmental students recently used upcycled single use plastics to build trash interceptors. They named this one "The Trashanator".
