Claudius:

January 41AD- October 54AD

significant fact number 1:

Claudius was the first emperor since Caesar to expand the empire as he conquered England. This is significant because it tied him to Caesar as well as expanding the borders of the empire both of which contribute to his legacy as an emperor


Significant Fact Number 2:

Claudius proposed a vote on allowing Gaul citizens to be in the senate which he helped to pass. This is significant because it started the integration of ROme something almost unthinkable for the haughty Roman citizens.


Significant Fact Number 3:

Claudius remarried to Agripina. This was significant because although it was the right move politically it ultimately lead to his murder as she killed him to make way for her son to become the emperor.
