Centerview families,
Wow, did we have some fun at Friday’s $5 from 5 people FUNdraiser FUNrun? What a great event, outdoors on the SLP turf fields with students and families. Working through the soccer goal maze, leaping over the high hurdles and having the individual endurance to run/walk our quarter mile route twice was gratifying for students and their families.
We are fortunate to have a Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) willing to put in the time and effort to make this event possible! Thank you to each and ALL for your combined efforts.
As a result of our energies, our school community raised an amazing amount, our BEST ever…$10,253! That’s a cool $2,000 more than what we’ve raised in the past! From pocket change to amounts greater than $25 our students and families contributed amounts that will impact and increase opportunities for our students. Thank you.
The weather this week is getting a bit colder. I feel it each morning and afternoon at arrival and dismissal. Please be sure your kiddos are dressed for the weather as they will be going outside each day. Writing their names on their bags, hats, boots, mittens, coats and winter gear will be important. This is essential if they misplace any winter gear during the week. THANKS!
A final reminder, as I always appreciate this one. This weekend is the end of daylight-saving time. Remember to the clocks back by one hour.
Hey, thank you again for your FUNraiser efforts!
Enjoy your week!
Mike

Purchase tickets for “The Alibis” grades 7-8 theater production
Theater season is in full swing! Come support our grades 7-8 theater students in their upcoming fall play production "The Alibis" on November 11-12 at the SLPHS Fine Arts Center. Purchase your tickets online or at the Fine Arts Center for a dollar more on the day of the production.
Performance description:
Comedy in crime in this rouge's gallery of ten-minute plays wrapped in a classic whodunnit. When eccentric billionaire J. Leslie Arlington is murdered, a clueless detective finds the suspects are all reluctant to admit their alibis...because they were all committing other ridiculous crimes at the time. You never know what's coming next when your suspects include disgruntled chefs, teen detectives, and vengeful divas, but one thing's for certain: Every alibi is absolutely absurd.
Performance dates:
- Thursday, November 11, 7 p.m.
- Friday, November 12, 7 p.m.
Don't miss out on the final weekend of "Shakespeare in Hollywood"
