Week of 8/18/19
#NoExcusesNoAlibi
Miller's Message
Greetings Longhorn Nation!
We are starting Week 2 of the school year and students should be in a routine. Tardies will start to count on Wednesday, August 21, 2019. Our counselors are working diligently to balance classes and fix scheduling errors. Please be patient as we work through this process this week.
It is imperative that scholars arrive to school on time each day. Doors to the building open at 7:45 AM. The tardy bell rings at 8:15 AM. Scholars who are persistently late will receive consequences.
We will focus on the convergence of four elements; Relationships, Communication, Parental Involvement, and Shared Identity. My leadership this year will focus on these four elements as they apply to school improvement. Together, we will make a great school even better! The school mantra for the year will be " No Excuses No Alibi". We will not allow excuses to hinder our success in Cedar Hill. Your student WILL be challenged each day to perform to the best of their ability.
This year promises to be full of great accomplishments and exciting progress for our scholars and our school. If you have any questions related to school policy and procedures, schedules, etc., please feel free to contact the main office at 469-272-2000, check our school website or email me at jason.miller@chisd.net. You may also stay abreast to what is happening at CHHS via twitter at @Mr_Miller1911 and @Cedar_Hill_HS. Let’s make this school year the best!

Bow Tie Tuesday
We are starting BOW TIE TUESDAY at Cedar Hill HS. The concept of Bow Tie Tuesday was originally created in an effort to inspire school spirit, increase morale and build team spirit among staff and students. Wear your bow tie every Tuesday! Encourage your scholar to wear them…. Let's build the Cedar Hill community together.
