Donald Partners with Cornerstone!

Learn about Naomi's Village and their school!

Julie Mendonsa, founder of Naomi's Village, visits Donald!

Join us on Monday, November 11 at 8:15 am in the library to meet with Julie and learn about the orphan crisis in Kenya and how she and her husband Bob are spearheading that issue through education. Bob and Julie are from Flower Mound, and moved to Kenya in 2008 to open Naomi's Village. Donald is lucky to be able to partner with Naomi's Village and Cornerstone to learn about a different culture from halfway around the world, and be able to make connections with another great school!

Why Kenya? Why Cornerstone?

One of our teachers, Miss Sundberg, was able to go to visit Naomi's Village and Cornerstone during the summer. When she returned and shared the great things happening at Cornerstone, Mrs. Wooten wanted Donald kids to be involved! She believes this will be a great way for Donald kids to see how kids in Kenya learn, play, and live life. Visiting with Julie will help you see the important ways we can move beyond our own community while learning along the way!
