School Days
1/7/24
Hello Rodman Preschool Families,
Happy New Year! This week the preschool eagerly dove back into the routine with children excitedly reuniting with friends and teachers. By the end of the week, students felt settled back into their daily activities and ready to continue their daily learning and creative adventures. Please remember to dress students warm for these new colder temperatures - coats, hats, scarves, gloves, etc!
Also, community peer applications have been sent home with students but can also be found on our website (https://www.cantonma.org/preschool/index). If you're interested in joining us next school year, please make sure to send your application in to Susan Crespi ASAP.
Stay warm this weekend!
Best,

Speech Sound Activities for Home
Rhyme Time
βI am thinking of an animal that rhymes with big. Whatβs the animal?β Answer: pig. What else rhymes with big? (dig, fig, wig)
Body part rhymes
Point to a part of your body and ask your child to think of a rhyming word. For example, what rhymes with hair? (bear). What rhymes with eye? (pie) What rhymes with head? (bed). Make it more challenging by asking for two or three rhyming words. Nonsense words count, too!

CORI and Fingerprinting
Reminder:
A CORI check IS required for all volunteers.
Fingerprinting IS required if you are interested in volunteering with direct and unmonitored interactions with students. This included chaperoning field trips.
Fingerprinting is NOT required if you are volunteering under supervision of a school staff member. This included room parents, guest speakers and volunteers at field day events.
*They can take awhile to process so please fill them out early so they have enough time to be returned prior to a field trip or volunteer opportunity
Please provide a copy of your fingerprinting receipt to Susan Crespi crespis@cantonma.org to let us know you completed fingerprinting.
