Warwick Workshop Thank You!

During the weeks that the Warwick Workshops took place, I received many emails thanking me for offering the after-school clubs. Those emails were awesome beyond words to receive, but I was far from alone in organizing these classes.

I would like to extend a HUGE thank you to Mr. Watters and Mrs. Taggart for their never-ending assistance with anything I asked, and to the many teachers who allowed the children and instructors to use their classrooms right after school. Thank you also to PTO President Mike Barry for the support.

A very special thank you to Mr. Bocklet and Mr. Heine who actually instructed 2 of the clubs after a long day of teaching. The kids LOVE to see their teachers after school!

Please also join me in thanking the following Warwick Workshop Volunteers for taking the time to see that the children participating were in the right place, having fun, and dismissed safely throughout the length of the workshops – without these volunteers (many helped on multiple days), these classes would not be possible:

Jay Beifeld

Stephanie Carney

Andrea Feuchter

Gail Hilinski

Jill & Scott Laster

Julie Narisi

I cannot express enough what a remarkable community we have at Warwick. Our children are beyond fortunate!

Special Note Regarding Tax at Book Fair

Please be aware that in the past the book fairs have been tax exempt. We are now required by the PA Dept of Revenue to collect and remit sales tax as part of the schools fundraising activities. Your child will not be left out from purchasing a book if they do not have enough money. We will cover any short-fall but please make note to send in a few extra dollars to cover tax now.

2016-2017 Reading Olympic List

The 2017 Reading Olympics list Is out and available on Mrs. Kehan's website. Encourage your Reading Olympians to check out the list and consider choosing some books to begin preparation for next year's Reading Olympics!!

Shoe Recyling at Warwick

Warwick has a box in the office accepting men's, women's and kid's PAIRS of gently used shoes such as sneakers, flats, athletic type and sandals, but no flip flops, boots or really worn shoes.

The shoes will be sent to various parts of the world to have a second life. Each time the box is filled, Warwick Elem gets money ($20/box).

So while you're doing some spring cleaning, please consider dropping off some old shoes and give them a second life.
