October is U.S. Filipino American History Month. It is observed every year to mark the anniversary of the first recorded evidence of Filipinos in America.

Physical and Dental Exam Forms are DUE November 1st!

Attention 6th and 7th grade parents:


All 6th grade students MUST submit a physical exam form.

All 7th grade students MUST submit a dental exam form.


These forms are due by 11/1/22 or students risk being excluded from school.

7th & 8th grade winter sports will begin in November & December. Coaches will send out specific information as the start dates approach. For any student who did not participate in fall sports at Fugett, PIAA physicals can be uploaded to Family ID (see link below). If a student is interested in a winter sport and played a fall sport with their PIAA physical already in Family ID, they can simply register for the winter sport.

Red Ribbon Week - October 25 - 28

From October 25 through October 31, J. R. Fugett Middle School will celebrate National Red Ribbon Week. This week marks the occasion when schools across the country focus their attention on drug use and prevention among school-aged children. This year’s national Red Ribbon Week theme is “Celebrate LIFE. Live Drug Free.”

MathCounts Club

MathCounts is a club for middle-school students who have a strong interest in mathematics. The deadline to join MATHCOUNTS is Thursday, October 27, 2022. A number of students will have the opportunity to participate in competitions held in February and March against students from other schools in Chester County. Students who have questions can speak with Mr. Saundurs in room 210 or email him at tsaundurs@wcasd.net.

Starting young is key, making this presentation ideal for parents with kids of any age. Join us for a lot of laughs and to learn the natural highs most beneficial to our mental health.
