PHS End of the Year Check-Out Procedures for All Students

Students who Checked Out a PUSD Chromebook/iPad for Distance Learning

In order to provide continued access to Optional Distance Learning resources, PUSD will be extending the period of time families can use these District-issued devices through the summer. For families that choose to keep their current PUSD issued device through the summer, no action is required at this time. Students will have the same device that is currently in their possession re-issued to them when they return to school in the fall. For those students returning to a different school from the one they checked the device out from, they will keep the device and take it to their new school. There will be additional opportunities in the fall to check out devices for students who do not currently have one.

Students must return their PHS District-issued device during the week of June 15 - 18 if any of the following apply:

· The student is a graduating Senior

· The student is not returning to PUSD for the 2020-2021 school year

· The student does not need the device for the summer/does not want the responsibility

Please refer to the scheduled time for textbook return and personal belonging pickup at your student’s school site to return the device.

Click here for the Google Map on our PHS website that details the driving route and procedures for the Poway High School End of the Year Check-Out Procedures.

Big picture

Yearbooks still available for purchase, online or on campus!

Yearbooks are still available to pre-purchase for $65 until we run out. Seniors who wish to get their yearbook with their cap and gown (if the books arrive in time) must purchase by June 2. Students who wish to pay by cash or check can do so in the finance office on Tuesday, June 2 during lunch (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.). Credit card purchases can be done in person on those days or at any time online: click here. If you are planning to come on campus, please enter through the front gate and be prepared to wear a mask and socially distance if there is a line.

Attention Seniors who attended Midland Elementary!

Midland would like to honor former students who are graduating from PHS by having you lead the 5th graders in a clap line at their promotion ceremony, and including your name and senior photo in their 5th grade promotional video. If you’re interested in participating, please email Ms. Edrington at tedrington@powayusd.com.

Online Registration Make-Up

Online continuing registration for current Poway Unified School District students will reopen on June 1, 2020, at 8 a.m. for those families that missed the original deadline.

We must receive a completed digital packet for all returning students. This will allow for proper placement of your student for the 2020-2021 school year. This annual digital process will allow a family to complete one single “family” packet instead of completing one packet per student. Packets can be completed using any computer, tablet or smartphone with an internet connection.

DIRECTIONS FOR REGISTRATION PROCESS

Packets are completed digitally using any computer, tablet or smartphone with an internet connection. Please keep in mind there are two pages to review beyond the point where you can print required documents. A packet is considered finalized after reviewing those last two pages.

  1. Login and complete the digital registration packet online at the ParentVue portal: https://sis.powayusd.com/Packet
  2. Print and sign the required forms located at the conclusion of the process. At this time, the State of California does not allow guardian/parents to electronically sign certain documents. REGISTRATION FORMS WILL NOT BE COLLECTED UNTIL SCHOOL BEGINS IN AUGUST FOR THE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR.
  3. Once parents have completed the online registration, documents must be printed, signed and returned to their school. Please download necessary forms once you have completed online registration and hold them until further notice
    Thank you.
MEDICATION FORMS WILL NOT BE COLLECTED UNTIL SCHOOL BEGINS IN AUGUST FOR THE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR.
  4. Thank you for taking the time to complete the online registration process. Please wait to turn in your signed registration documents until school reopens. The State of California does not allow guardian/parents to electronically sign certain documents, so the school will have to collect hard copies of the documents with wet signatures as soon as safety restrictions allow.
