Message from Mrs. Glass
The second semester is fast approaching! If you have any candidates for High school credit courses, please reach out to Mrs. Annette Glass (glassap@gcs.k12.nc.us) for more information.
Granville Online offers Earth Science, English 1, Spanish and World History for students that may wish to start with HS credit courses while in Middle School!
We also offer Creative Writing for MS students as a MS elective credit with Mrs. Barbara Poole!
Please make all of the requests using this form and ideally all requests should be made before the holiday break in December.
Thank you!

Canned Food Drive
The PTO is sponsoring a canned food drive from 11/18- 11/22.
Please bring any donations to school campuses for the PTO to collect. We will be donating all of our proceeds to our local ACIM food bank. They will distribute to local families in need.
Our goal is to collect 100 cans of food! Thank you for participating in this!

Granville Academy K-5 & 6-8 Family Support/Outreach Groups
K-5 & 6-8 Granville Academy families:
There are two Facebook groups that are set up for GA Pirates and families in grades K-5 & 6-8 (as parents and students) to come together and get to know each other better. The idea behind the pages is to have somewhere to go for support (help with assignments that may be confusing) or to plan a fun outing with the group ("Hey, anyone want to go to the park and have lunch this Friday?").
Please note the pages are set up to protect the privacy of students & families. Only GA Pirates are allowed to join. Please search for the groups on Facebook!
We are looking forward to getting to know our GA Pirates!
GA Science Olympiad Calendar
GA Box Tops for Education
Granville Academy is continuing to participate in the Box Top for Education program this year!
Please view the flyer below for updated information on how to participate and earn money for our school.

Weekly Message from the MS Teachers:
I have attached the checklists for this week and they have also been posted on Google Classroom for students.
Students can stay after school this week until 3pm on Monday (Mary Potter) and Wednesday (Tar River).
There is Science Olympiad practice at Tar River ONLY this week on Wednesday until 2:30pm. There will be Science Olympiad practice next Tuesday (11/26) at Mary Potter until 2:30pm.
There is NO Science Olympiad practice at Mary Potter this week.
I still have several students (especially at the Mary Potter campus) who have not returned their signed Student Code of Conduct sheets to me. These came home in a yellow booklet several weeks ago.
Students who are significantly behind will start being required to come to tutoring and/or a Friday lab to get caught up on their work. Granville Academy allows student freedom with when they do their work, but work still needs to be done while they are at home. If you are not sure how to keep up with your student's progress, please reach out to one of the teachers for help.
Students at the Tar River location will not have school next week because of the Thanksgiving Holiday Break. There will also be no checklist sent out next week. Students who are behind should take advantage of this, especially on Monday and Tuesday.
Information Grades 9-12
11th Graders: Practice ACT - November 25th
