CORNERSTONE INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY
“The harder you work for something, the greater you’ll feel when you achieve it’,
With this excellent quote, I am pleased to welcome you to the month of March.
We have successfully completed our FIRST MONTH of physical resumption and our students did exceptionally well! I am personally impressed at how our students are following the protocol measures such as wearing their masks, frequent hand washing, using the sanitizing stations properly and adjusting to the new normal of this pandemic. I also want to thank all our e-learners for working through the technical glitches as we all start to find our groove for our online instruction. Our facilitators are working SO hard to master teaching BOTH in-person and online students at the same time. It is quite a difficult task to manage two different groups of students as well as managing the various intricacies of Zoom, online textbooks, and other resources simultaneously. I am confident that it will just get better and better each week as everyone adjusts to the new routines!
As we celebrate the IB Learner Profile attribute “Courageous”, we need to tap ourselves on the shoulders and strive for more excellence in education. "Do not stop thinking of life as an adventure. You have no security unless you can live bravely; excitingly, imaginatively; unless you can choose a challenge instead of competence." "Courage is fearlessness in a fearful situation. Courage is doing the things you cannot possibly do."
There have been several highlights that suggest March will present us with a fascinating learning journey. I see students and facilitators put up beautiful plans to celebrate our Independence Day. Meanwhile, let us not get carried away by these exciting learning engagements but always remember to adhere strictly to the Covid-19 safety protocols as we remain resolute in keeping our guards on to ensure a safe learning environment for all.
