Upcoming Events

Friday, May 14, 2021

Hello Kettle Lake Families,

Extreme Field Day has been a huge success! Students have participated in a number of events already this week. We have created an experience that will allow ALL students to participate in the traditional field day events in a safe way. Here is more information previously shared:

  • Each class is split into 4 teams and assigned a team color. Not only is each color from each grade level on the same team, but each color from ALL of the grade levels are on the same team. For example, the purple teams from K-5 are all on the same team collectively earning points. The current leaderboard is shared below.
  • Team color headbands have been given to each student to wear during Extreme Field Day events and they are encouraged to wear their team color on PE days.
  • We will celebrate and announce winning teams at the cookout Friday, May 28 with students.

Please return all library books the week of 5/17 and encourage your child to check out the Lost & Found. We have lots of items left. You are also welcome to look. We have moved the Lost & Found to the front lobby (picture below).

Thank you parents for all you do! We are grateful for you.

Have a wonderful weekend!

4th and 5th Grade Information

4th and 5th graders will be transitioning to Kraft Meadows Intermediate School (KMIS) next fall. Principal Steve Uyl hosted a virtual informational event with his team. Please click HERE to view the recording. I highly recommend viewing if you haven't had a chance. They were very thorough on sharing what the new intermediate experience will be like for students and many common questions were answered.

More information will be shared here as we wrap up the school year and continue to collaborate with Kraft Meadows Intermediate School (KMIS) to support students and families.

Save the Date

-KMIS Tours 5/22 from 9:00am-1:00pm

-Virtual Celebration video shared Friday 6/4 for 4th and 5th Grade families

Orchestra @ KMIS

All current 4th grade students have the option to take one of our Orchestra classes next year at Kraft Meadows as a part of their school day, regardless of whether or not they were in Orchestra this school year. Orchestra is a fun class in which students have the opportunity to play a variety of songs while learning the Violin, Viola, Cello, or Bass. The only thing that 4th grade families need to do now in order to take advantage of this opportunity is to choose Orchestra as their music option on their 5th Grade Selection Form that is being sent out next week. This will allow Kraft Meadows to place them in the right classes so that Orchestra can be a part of their school day next year.

This week, our music teachers are showing the linked video to our 4th grade students about their Orchestra options next year at Kraft Meadows:

Please contact Jesse Liker at with any questions about Orchestra at Kraft Meadows.

Thank You Kettle Lake PTO

Hello Kettle Lake Families,

We wanted to take the time to say THANK YOU to the Kettle Lake PTO and all who help support. They have gone above and beyond to support our staff and students during a very unique school year. They have demonstrated out of the box thinking with ways to support from afar, continue to raise funds for our school, and communicate effectively with our Kettle Lake community. We are grateful for the partnership and look forward to bringing back some of the traditions they have been involved in for many years. Please check out the Kettle Lake PTO website ( for more information. They do a fabulous job of communicating and supporting what's going on at school.
