Hello Kettle Lake Families,

I hope you are all enjoying the beautiful sunshine and warmer weather. With that comes melting snow on our playground with lots of puddles and mud. We apologize in advance for the wet and muddy snow gear coming home today.

Spring conference confirmation letters are coming home with the same day of the week and time as your fall conference. We are offering a virtual option as well as phone. Please confirm your conference, select your preference of Google Meet or phone, and return the slip to classroom teachers as soon as possible. We are looking forward to connecting with you all!

You may request a conference with Gym, Art, Spanish, Music, Speech Teacher, and our Student Support Specialist staff through the Google Form. Teachers will contact you to schedule details.

The In-District Transfer process is closing soon. Please see the message below with changes for the 2021-2022 school year. Transportation will only be provided to and from your zoned school.

Thank you parents for all you do! We are grateful for you.

Have a wonderful weekend!

In-District Transfer Information (Now through 3/12/21)

During the 2020-2021 academic year, the district began transitioning to a building placement system based on geographic boundaries for each elementary school. Each home address in the district was assigned an attendance zone with a designated elementary building serving those residences. We are now entering year two of this transition. Please read the below information as there are important changes taking effect in August 2021.

IMPORTANT: Beginning August 2021 (Year 2)

  • Transportation boundaries will be implemented. Transportation will only be provided to and from your zoned school.

  • Current elementary students will not be forced to move to a different building. They will be “grandfathered” in at their current school. However, if the building is located outside the family’s attendance zone, parents will be responsible for transportation to and from school. Parents must apply for an In-District Transfer if they want to transfer their student.

  • The Internal District Transfer process will open for requests on February 1, 2021, and close on March 15, 2021. Requests will be submitted by parents through their PowerSchool account. Parents/Guardians will be notified via email by April 1 of the status of their request. Approved transfers will take effect in August 2021. Instructions on filling out a transfer request form, information on elementary school attendance zones as well as a FAQ document can be found at In-District Transfer Information.

  • Placement will occur on a first-come-first-served basis, dependent on seat availability, and priority order listed below.

    • Priority 1: Siblings who are attending separate buildings and wish to be reunited.

    • Priority 2: Families who are attending a building outside of their home boundary and are seeking a transfer into their home boundary zone

    • Priority 3: Families seeking an internal transfer for any other reason.

Please contact your school office or our administration office with questions.

Thank You Kettle Lake PTO

Hello Kettle Lake Families,

We wanted to take the time to say THANK YOU to the Kettle Lake PTO and all who help support. They have gone above and beyond to support our staff and students during a very unique school year. They have demonstrated out of the box thinking with ways to support from afar, continue to raise funds for our school, and communicate effectively with our Kettle Lake community. We are grateful for the partnership and look forward to bringing back some of the traditions they have been involved in for many years. Please check out the Kettle Lake PTO website ( for more information. They do a fabulous job of communicating and supporting what's going on at school.
