Happenings Around Dry Creek Elementary

Fall Break - October 12-16, 2020

Dry Creek Parents and Family,

I again want to thank you all for the continual partnership in helping to keep our students and staff as safe as possible. We are just days away from fall break! As a reminder, there will be no school from October 12th-16th. In-person learning will resume on October 19, 2020.

I know that many families have plans to travel during the break. Please be thoughtful about travel plans if you go away. If you think that you or someone in your family has been exposed to someone with COVID-19, or if you have not been able to practice appropriate physical distancing during your travels, do not send your student to school and consider getting a COVID-19 test after you return. I wish you all a restful and enjoyable break.

-Mr. Watanabe

Dry Creek P.A.S.S. Meeting - Wednesday at 6:00pm

Dry Creek P.A.S.S. Committee will meet via Micorsoft Teams on October 7, 2020 from 6:00-7:00pm. P.A.S.S. stands for Partnerships for Academically Successful Students. It is a committee comprised of parents, Dry Creek staff, and community members. We are looking for parents who are interested in joining the P.A.S.S. committee. The purpose of P.A.S.S. is to support the district's goal of Inclusive Excellence and is a critical component of systemic equity transformation. P.A.S.S. provides a structure to build relationships between the school and parents in an effort to create an inclusive learning environment for all students. P.A.S.S. also gives parents and guardians of students of color voice and direct access to the administration and staff. To join, please click the button below!

Box Tops

We are doing one last push for cardboard Box Tops for Education, before they go completely to the online app at the end of the year. If you have been saving box tops or know someone who has, please bring them into the school NO LATER than October 23rd. Money raised from box tops traditionally goes toward new playground equipment for all of the kids. As always, we appreciate the generosity of all of our families!

Attendance Line Reminder

As a reminder, when reporting your student absent, please call and leave a message on the attendance line at (720) 554-3395. Thank you!

COVID Symptom Checker

To assist with students entering the school as they arrive in the morning, please conduct the short symptom check using the Cherry Creek Schools COVID Symptom Checker. There are three ways to access the Symptom Checker:

1. Sign into your my.cherrycreekschools.org account and select the COVID Symptom Check tile

2. Using a QR code scanner on your smartphone, scan the image above
