- DLR - Distance Learning Received

- DLI - Distance Learning Incomplete
- You DO NOT need to change the T and NT
Some teachers have asked if they can use the abbreviations of R, N, and I. If you do, please be very clear with students and parents .
Grading Period 4 Gradebook on PowerSchool: In an effort to clearly document distance learning work, please use this slideshow to create a GP4 gradebook in PS. GP 4 dates will be April 6th - June 11th. Keeping these codes separate from the 3rd grading period will be helpful. Thank you, Melissa, for making this slideshow. Grading Pd. 4 Gradebook on PS
DO NOT UNPUBLISH GRADING PERIOD 3 GRADES - students and parents still need to be able to view.
Late Work: Late work must be accepted for up to 2 weeks after due date. Thank you for discussing and documenting in grade level meetings. We will have a uniform late work policy for all grades: All Grades will accept work for 2 weeks after due date

ZOOM: Teachers can help each other out. If you need to meet with a student one on one, just contact another teacher to see if he/she can "sit in" on the Zoom. The teacher sitting in can mute his/her microphone and even turn off video, but can still hear and see what is happening to be a second teacher in the meeting. Teacher "sitting in" can be working on grading or other tasks while the main teacher and student meet.

Messages from Megan - Library
“Books, precisely because they are so demanding of our attention, might be the best antidote for the psychological toll of the socially distanced life.”
Do you ever notice that after reading, you feel differently, and thus, act differently? You may see people you love, your students, YOURSELF struggling to relax during this time. So how do we fill the void? Many of us are grasping for ways to not only feel normal again, but to maintain some routine. So, we’ve all binged Tiger King and learned how to make the best sourdough bread, now what? WE READ.
I’m going to hop on my soapbox real quick. I’m very good at suggesting books based on your interests. I’m here to help. If you think a student needs reading recommendations, send them my way! If YOU need suggestions, give me a shout! I’ve had a lot of kiddos send me emails for this very reason. We are in an interesting space right now, let's do something we can feel good about. Let's read!
