Thank you City Year AmeriCorps
Our City Year AmeriCorps members at WT White High School are providing classroom and one-on-one or small group tutoring support in our 9th grade English and Math classrooms. In addition to providing academic support, they also help students with social and emotional learning and attendance coaching through goal setting. City Year attends student games and events, make positive phone calls home, offer after school enrichment clubs, and energetically greet students in the morning as they arrive on campus to encourage a positive learning environment. Throughout the year, they will also organize and lead activities, celebrations, and events to support staff in building a positive school culture.
