Week 6
News This Week
Update: Our skills and Social Studies this week are slightly different that what it listed on the Unit 1 sheet you have in your folder. Please check below for skills and Social Studies. We will use Poetry this week in place of our regular reading story.
Friday - Begin with the End in Mind - Our second habit in Leader in Me is "Being with the End in Mind." This means that we make goals that are short and long and work towards reaching them. Friday, students are invited to dress up in what they would like to be when they grow up. This should be a career (not a Halloween costume - no princesses, ninjas, etc.).
Friday - Career Dress Up!

word, ask the following:
- Read the sentence and think about what that word might mean.
- What clues can you find in the sentence to help understand or find the meaning of the word?
- Why did the author choose this word?
- Does the word have other meanings than the way the author used it?
