Gator Tales

A Message From Dr. Ricks
Parents and Friends,
And here we are in December—wow! I hope you all had a terrific Thanksgiving holiday. We have enjoyed our time back this week. It was wonderful to see so many red Merry Christmas Gator shirts! This morning, our parent prayer group met and prayed for the health, safety, and well-being of our students and families as we make our way through these last 3 weeks of the semester.
The red Annual Fund Thermometer is getting higher toward our goal—thanks so much to all of our donors. Remember that any gifts received or postmarked by Dec. 31 are tax deductible in 2016. Gifts received on or after January 1 will be deductible in 2017. The Annual Fund is an essential factor in the long-term strength of our school—do please participate at whatever level is possible for you.
It was so nice to be back in Wednesday Chapel; the sanctuary and organ have been repaired and look amazing...just in time for Advent. We have several grade-level outreach projects by which our school community can prepare for Christmas and make room in our hearts by assisting those in need. In this busy season, I encourage you to take advantage of Chapel with your children as another way of “making room” for the holiday season.
Wishing us all a Blessed Advent!
Dr. Beth J. Ricks, Ph. D.
