Prayer for Students
Father of Light and Wisdom,
Thank you for giving us
A mind that can know
And a heart that can love.
Help us to keep learning every day of our life—
No matter what the subject may be.
Let us be convinced that all knowledge leads to you
And let us know how to find you and love you
In all things you have made.
Encourage us when the studies are difficult
And when we are tempted to give up
Enlighten us when our brain is slow
And help us to grasp the truth held out to us.
Grant us the grace to put our knowledge to use
In building the kingdom of God on earth
So that we may enter the kingdom of God in heaven
Amen
IMPORTANT INTERNET AGREEMENTS
Parents and students, be sure to complete your forms ASAP. Just click on the links for each one:
Acceptable Use Policies and Agreements
The Archdiocese of Louisville requires us to have on file a signed Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) for all of our students and their parents/guardians. Without these signed documents, we will not be able to allow your child the privilege of using the internet, computers and tablets at school. Forms must be signed by parents AND by students. Click this link for Acceptable Use Policies and Agreements Form.
Photo/Video/Website Release Form
This form gives us permission to use a child's (children’s) name(s), photograph(s), and/or videotaped image(s) in publications, video productions, and/or St. Paul's website. (Names are never printed with pictures on the website.)
Click this link for the Photo/Video/Website Release Form.
Middle School Laptop Agreement
Middle school parents and students must complete this form saying they understand the policies set forth for our one-to-one computer program in grades 6-8. Click this link for the Middle School Laptop Agreement Form .
Media Center/Library/Computer Lab is now the Creative Learning Center
- The old setup is gone. Some of the new furniture has arrived and replaced many of the old, very large tables with smaller, easy-to-move tables.
- Most of the old lab computers have been put into classrooms so that students have access in their classrooms for all of their technology research and lesson needs.
- There is a bank of PC computers on one wall, and now we also have a set of 20 Acer C720p Chromebooks for use by students, teachers and their classes as needed. The Chromebooks and laptop loaners are kept in a brand new charging cart that makes for easy access.
- There is a new Makerbot Replicator Mini 3D printer that students have set up and are learning how to use. 3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing, is any of various processes used to make a three-dimensional object. In 3D printing, additive processes are used, in which successive layers of material are laid down under computer control.
- There is lots more work to be completed, including new service desks, a MakerSpace for student-made creations and inventions with ample storage space, new reading area furniture, a collaboration station for small group project work, and places for individual work. There is a presentation area where students, teachers and community members can share their knowledge with large groups with a state-of-the-art sound system, Blu-Ray DVD player, and Chromecast-capable high-definition TVs.

- Classes are already using the CLC for learning. The Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten classes are learning to use the PCs and Chromebooks with their ABCmouse program. Many classes came in to take their STARS reading tests on their devices, and some of the older students are using time in the CRC for research for their classes.
- We look forward to the completion as we make this a wonderful space for learning, collaboration, presentation and creativity.

3rd Grade
Math - Students are working on place value. They are learning how to spell number words.
Science - We are learning about the International Space Station. Students got to take a virtual field trip to the International Space Station. They learned where astronauts sleep, exercise, relax, and eat. They learned about the work that astronauts perform in space. They got to see the space suits and helmets that the astronauts wear to perform some of their activities. After the video tour, students wrote a reflection on what they learned from the video.
Social Studies - Students are learning about maps and globes. They are learning the names of the continents and oceans.Saint Paul Catholic Community App
