News Feed Updates

  • The only updates on Instagram are photos. The layout on Instagram is always consistent.
  • Facebook isn't solely for photo sharing. Its purpose is to engage through dialogue by the use of statuses, URL links, videos, and photos.

Main Focus

Although Facebook incorporates a lot of visuals, Instagram only concentrates on photography and visuals. Facebook users each have a profile that shares life-story, interests, resume, friends, family members and more.

  • On Facebook, people can update their status—a microblogging feature to inform other users of your actions and thoughts.
  • Instagram post's must include a photo or video.

Privacy Settings

On Instagram, users can set their entire photo profile on private. Unlike FB, this denies anyone access to your photos unless you approve them. You don't have to go through each album or individual photo option to set a privacy setting.
